RCV primarily benefits the Political Establishment

Despite promises that RCV would make elections more "fair" and "open," it has made it harder for independents, newcomers, and grassroots candidates to succeed. Big money, special interests, and political consultants have learned how to game the system. Ordinary Alaskans are left wondering if their voices really matter when the outcome seems increasingly detached from their first-choice votes.

RCV isn’t Simple, intuitive or Fair

Before ranked-choice voting, every Alaskan knew exactly how to participate: pick the one candidate you believe in most. The candidate with the most support won — plain and simple. That's the way it should be.

Rcv Threw Out 30,000 votes in 2024

RCV creates an unpredictable process where ballots are eliminated in multiple rounds, sometimes leaving voters without a say in the final outcome. It discourages participation, increases election errors, and undermines trust in our elections system. Voting YES ends RCV and brings common-sense back to Alaska’s elections.

Rcv takes too long to declare a winner

Elections should be settled on Election Day. With Ranked Choice Voting and multiple ballots, getting a result is no longer a straight-forward process. Declaring a winner may take days or longer. There are no advantages to this cumbersome, complicated process. Vote YES to end it.
